Mercedes Benz

A luxury vehicle company,Since 1926

Mercedes-Benz, commonly referred to as Mercedes, is a German automotive brand headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. Mercedes-Benz produces luxury vehicles and commercial vehicles. The headquarters is in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. The first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced in 1926.Mercedes-Benz offers a full range of passenger, light commercial and heavy commercial equipment. Vehicles are manufactured in multiple countries worldwide. The Smart marque of city cars are also produced by Daimler AG.

Mercedes!A vast known automobile multi-national company has come up with an idea of sharing their back-end AI codes here, for example if the car moving in the road,it captures every single images and objects in front of it through sensors and it passes to the algorithm that is deployed in.

MBUX is an AI-powered system in all new Mercedes-Benz vehicles that allows the driver to communicate through voice commands.“The car is a learning system,” explains Daimler CEO Ola Källenius. “It's like a very good butler, the more you use it, the better it knows and anticipates your preferences".

Motive:

For one thing, it makes autonomous driving possible. AI allows cars to 'think' in real time due to technology known as deep learning, and this is how self-driving vehicles respond to situations on the road just like a human driver would. As brands like Mercedes-Benz develop the technology, it is also being used in other ways like to predict a driver’s needs and moods and improve their comfort.

How is AI used in self-driving cars?

Self-driving cars are, of course, one of the most exciting advancements made possible by AI technology.Autonomous vehicles have been a talking point for Mercedes-Benz. Not only has self-driving technology been a key feature in recent concept cars, including the VISION AVTR and the Mercedes-Benz F 015, which hint at the technology’s more futuristic capabilities, but it is also influencing the more immediate future.

4Matic:

This is the new concept devolped by Mercedes to enhance the torque distribution to the front and rear wheels of the automobile. The 4MATIC system includes the 4-wheel Electronic Traction System (4-ETS). That means individual sensors and breaks on every wheel. So when only one of your wheels has traction, the 4MATIC system can keep you rolling. Furthermore, the wheels can spin at different speeds. Each wheel can give produce an momentum which is equal to product of the mass and velocity and this is an main factor for heavy acceleration of the vehicle.

Headlights:

The headlights can project symbols on the road to warn the driver of incoming obstacles, such as roadworks, pedestrians, and traffic lights or warning signs and it consists of 1.3Million mini mirrors that can light up the road in front of you with hazard signs by detecting it visually and then it is feed upto an algorithm that can predict what type of hazardous sign to project which is same as traffic sign detection and it is done by Conv2D Neural Networks.Basically what it does is it predict things based on edges whereas a simple neural network predict based on sides.

The effective resolution increases from 84 pixels in the regular matrix LED headlights to a staggering 2.6 million pixels. To put that into context, a high school graphics calculator has a resolution of around 6000 pixels, and a HD television around 2 million pixels.Digital lights offer light projection around 100 times more precise than matrix LED lights, and could be used in the future to project symbols onto the road to alert other drivers of hazards, or communicate whether the car is in autonomous driving mode and mercedes is first one to introduce such feature in the automobile industry.
